A Few of My Favs

Alright my blogger friends; I metaphorically slap myself on the wrist for the past few weeks. When I get too stressed/busy I just tend to curl up in a ball in my bed and watch endless episodes of some new show on Netflix (Breaking Bad this time if anyone is wondering; have a friend to blame for introducing me to it). I had an interview today for a part time sales associate at Ann Taylor Loft and it made me realize that I need to step it up on this blog! I kept up with posting pictures on Instagram over the past few weeks but we'll just go with my favorite looks over the past week or so.

Who doesn't love pastels?! If you don't...then oh well. Because I love them. These jeans are a steal from Forever21 for $15! They have zippers at the bottom on the sides too. LOVE.

Jeans: Forever21
Blazer: LoveCulture
Tank Top: Forever21
Scarf: No clue honestly!

The weather has been driving me crazy. Semi decent one day and then FREEZING the next day. This outfit was the result of a freezing day! This sweater is totally adorable but sadly you can't see the cutest part! It says "Bonjour" across the front. It was just too cold so I had to add a scarf.

Sweater: Charlotte Russe
Jeans: Gap
Scarf: Market in New York
Boots: Steve Madden
Boot socks: Forever21

One of my go-to dresses because it just fits so perfectly and flows right. And of course I always have to throw an unexpected color combo together to my myself happy. Navy + Mustard = <3

Dress: Forever21
Scarf: Gift
Boots: Forever21

I believe that I will start doing my posts between my classes on MWF from now on since I have an hour break. We'll see! xoxo Jayne

Coral + Leopard

A staple of my wardrobe has to be bright colored jeans. And also prints; they're the best. I feel like this is one of my better put together outfits lately since the top is new and fits perfectly. I really have to resist the temptation to just wake up and throw on the first thing I grab some mornings.

Causal - My Form of Laziness

All that was going through my mind when I was getting dressed yesterday was, comfortable. But I couldn't bring myself to go out in lazy clothes (aka sweatpants, sweatshirt, t-shirt, etc.) so I put this together. Jeans with a comfy laid back shirt and a scarf. Nobody can go wrong with that. Especially if you add some pattern mixing in (which I do way too much anyway sooo..).

Confusing Weather Lately

Luckily, I have kept up with taking pictures of my outfits so that I have pictures ready to do my posts in the middle of the day. Sadly I haven't been able to take a good picture of what I'm wearing today yet so it'll probably go up tomorrow. Anyway without further adieu, two looks from last week.

I loved the weather on this day because I could wear a dress and boots and feel comfortable. Not too cold and not too hot.

Dress: Francesca's
Scarf: Francesca's
Boots: Forever21
Watch: gift

Now this day was not as nice as the day before. It was hot. And I mean like yucky, muggy hot. And in January I was honestly confused. The skirt was just swishy enough to keep me kind of cool...but still, by the end of the day I felt gross in the heat. And I hate that. I just want spring with nice perfect days.

Colorful Floral

When I'm not slacking off reading or doing other things, I day dream about the perfect dresses. Perfect fit, perfect pattern, etc. This is one of them. It's one of the shirt dress types since the top is like a blouse; so it fits perfectly. And the pattern is amazing because the black off sets the colorful flowers! I added a new scarf I got for Christmas and voila! A pop of color for an other wise dreary day that Monday was.

Hi, I'm a slacker. But here's my outfits from the last week.

Like the title? I'm not in a very creative mood. At all. But anyway....I am the laziest person ever. I could have written a few posts last week and this week if I had gotten around to it but instead you would have found me curled up in my bed with a book. I am currently on my 4th book this week. I know what everyone is thinking...she has way too much time on her hands. And I will respond by saying that this past week, reading has been a great outlet for me to relieve stress. And I will admit that my book is sitting right beside me; begging me to pick it up and resume reading. But alas I will post pictures of my outfits from last week because, yes, I still managed to look trendy and put together even though I have been extremely lazy.

Tuesday

This has to be my favorite dress. And I try not to wear it all the time so my pictures don't get repetitive.

Dress: Francesca's
Coat: Francesca's
Boots: Burlington Coat Factory, but I have also seen them at Belk's

Wednesday
I was clearly in the mood for dresses and jackets/blazers last week.

Dress: Express
Blazer: LoveCulture
Belt: gift
Boots: Forever21
Boot socks: Forever21

Thursday
Stripes and floral! One of my favorite pattern combos. Throw in the high-low dress and the colored tights and you have me in 3 different trends in one outfit. I've always been good at multi-tasking so why not make an outfit out of it?

Blazer: Marshell's? Not quite sure.
Dress: Forever21 (Originally my roommate's, but I traded a leather jacket for it :P )
Scarf: Absolutely no clue but I would guess Charlotte Rusee maybe?
Tights: TJMaxx (Yes, I'm a Maxinista or however its spelled)
Boots: Same from Tuesday

Friday
On the days that I decide to wear my rain boots; it never ever rains. This day was no different. But I liked the outfit so I'll just deal with it. I am a firm believer in saying that every women should have multiple items in her closet that have polka dots on them. And my theory can be backed up by saying that I had at least 10 people tell me that they loved my pants when I wore these. Case in point.

Cardigan: Forever21
Scarf: Wish (in Five Points for those of you who live in Columbia)
Jeans: Target
Rain boots: Hunter's (online)

And I figured I might as well start blogging about what I read on here too since reading is such a huge part of my life; as much so as fashion.

My roommate and I are both currently reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris. Known on TV as the True Blood series. They are absolutely perfect! Right now I'm on the 3rd one. We watched the first episode of True Blood after we read the 1st book and it just couldn't even compare! I highly recommend!

Stripes + Lavender

Lately, I like to wear pastel colors. I know that pastels are usually spring colors; but I think that wearing them now is a good way to bring some fresh color into winter wear. I keep the rest of the look neutral; like with this striped dress here. And of course I add a cute scarf to top it off! Oh and boots are a must. It's too cold now to go out anywhere without boot or tights. And let me just say that this dress is one of my absolute favorite dresses because of the fit and the stripes. The fact that it came from Old Navy makes it even greater! It is extremely comfortable and I can wear it with practically anything.

Dress: Old Navy ($25)
Cardigan: Forever21 ($13)
Scarf: Forever21 ($10? I believe..it was a while ago)
Boots: Steve Madden ($50)
Boot socks: Forever21
